1. Start out the trip with an early morning jaunt to Hanauma Bay - no crowds (but plenty of fish!)
2. Rent a large, roomy car and sit back and enjoy the scenery
3. Buy essentials at Costco before heading to quaint beach cottage
4. Have beautiful, brilliant daughter-in-law make lodging arrangements and research "cool" spots to see
