Just beyond our house is a road called "Mile High." If you drive almost to the top of that road, park your car and hike through the woods and past an alpine meadow to a wind swept ridge, you can snap photos like these of of Cook Inlet, Anchorage and the Eagle River. My friends Diane and Bonnie and I shivered together in the cool mountain breeze, snapped our pictures and then hurried down the mountain side!
