Hiking to the Top of Baldy Mountain

Can you spot the glacier in the background?

You can see Cook Inlet from here

They call this wildflower "Monk's Hood"

Sophie, the dog and my friend, Linda, on their way to the top

Lisa, Linda and Jane - we made it!

My friends and I decided to celebrate the sunshine today by climbing to the top of a mountain. After a couple of weeks of drizzle and clouds it was wonderful to see bright blue skies and feel the sun's warmth. The hike was short but steep. We took the long way home by hiking down the backside, across the meadows and through the willows. Beautiful!
