There were signs of the Olympic Games in every city we visited. Banners, gardens, statues and posters proudly proclaimed the Chinese Olympic spirit. These balloon mascots were at Seven Star Park in Guilin, home of an extremely shy panda bear, monkeys who roamed freely in the trees over our heads and a rock that looked like a camel.
